A lovely evening meeting with the whole team. There is much good humour as we catch up with old friends, meet new ones and we are all briefed about the cycling challenge that will consume our days and possibly much of our evenings over the next week or so. Assuming we have our bikes of course. We tentatively discuss potential options if they don’t arrive in time for us to set off for the 11am ferry in the morning.
At midnight, we are thrilled to learn that our bikes are safely in the support van, waiting to be reassembled before a short cycle to the ferry terminal, where we catch the first of a few ferries this week. Thanks to Steve, Jonathan and Robin for returning to the airport to collect them all.
And so it seems, our adventure will begin Saturday morning as we had originally planned. Now all we need to do is reassemble our bikes and prepare to start our challenge.
