Pahaska Tepee Resort to Cody 16th June 2025
51 Miles / 958ft climbed

Anticipating an ‘easy’ ride today we planned a leisurely 9am start. A few photographs of the group, a little pfaffing, the unexpected headwinds, the search for a food stop en route and the many stops to capture the beauty of our surroundings for our blogs and reels and to supplement our own memories, are just a few examples of how we spent a vast amount of time procrastinating today. It was 5pm when we arrived at our destination – a house booked via Air b’n’b only to find people already living in it. It transpires that we had booked the accommodation for 2026 not 2025!
Within the hour we had secured another rental, made our way there, showered and changed and headed out for supper. A lovely Thai meal. With enough food to feed a small army, we each brought a pot home and it looks like we will be eating Thai curry for the rest of the week. After the meal, four of us went downtown to a Rodeo and four of us stayed in for a much needed quiet evening. With a much needed rest day ahead of us tomorrow, we are all in good spirits this evening.

Great company, great cycling, great fun and great support from Steve, Marianne, Paula and Julia who sadly leave us over the next couple of days.

Well you are in bear country! Whose been sleeping in my bed? 😂Glad it all worked out well in the end.
A good faff is an essential part of the cycling experience. Embrace it. 😀
So pleased you got sorted with somewhere to stay. Booking the wrong year is my kind of thing – but no harm done! x
