There is something to be said for Zwift, particularly in the winter. Particularly if you want a 30-45m focused bit of exercise.
It’s not as much fun as riding with a bunch of friends through countryside to a well-earned piece of cake on a clear spring morning – few things are – but it keeps fitness up, and if you’re exercising as part of your PD strategy, enables you to make steady measured efforts. Less time spent washing the bike down afterwards too. And the game side of it makes turbo training less mind-numbing.
