Cycle Across America – Day 89

Pittsford Friday 15th August

A ‘rest day’ today, so we cycled to the bike shop and dropped our bikes and bits off to be repaired. The bikes may not be ready until tomorrow, so we have planned only a 30 miles stretch along the canal, just in case. Accommodation is still surprisingly hard to come by along some of our planned route. We had expected to find it easier now there are just the two of us. We spent a couple of hours exploring options for the next week or so.

Brunch was in a busy cafe downtown Pittsford and then a walk along the canal. We returned there later in the evening for the Pittsford Fire Department Band concert and pizza in the park. All in all, a very relaxed day and we look forward to getting our bikes back tomorrow and continuing on our way.
