Cycle Across America – Day 7

Hood River

The Kindness of Others

Today saw us welcomed into the family home of friend who happened to be visiting Hood River from the UK, at the same time as us.

Despite never having met any of this wonderful family before, we were invited to join them for the day and made to feel so welcome. It is always the people that we meet that make these adventures special and today was a great example of this.

The house nestling alongside the Hood River in an idyllic location meant we could enjoy the day sitting in the sunshine next to the river as we watched the children play, the white water rafters pass by in a flurry of screams and laughter and getting to know this wonderful family.

We were so touched by such a warm welcome from everyone. Thank you Paul, Larkin, Ellis and family x

And not a bike in sight!

  1. Oh my goodness, we all loved spending the day with you and felt honored that you chose to do so! We’re all in awe of your amazing tenacity, generous spirit and admirable determination. I hope that you experience only kindness on this cross-country USA adventure. We can’t wait to raise a glass & hear more stories when you return to England. Xx, Paul, Larkin & Ellis
